At the Pepin Heart Hospital, our focus on research enables us to introduce lifesaving breakthroughs long before they are available in most other hospitals. Through the Dr. Kiran C. Patel Research Institute we've our expanded our partnership with the University of South Florida, taking the institute to a new level by giving us the resources to explore and promote leading edge therapy options for patients; further scientific knowledge in the prevention, treatment and management of cardiovascular disease; and educate the Tampa Bay area community about the latest discoveries in cardiovascular medical research. Responsible for organizing, facilitating and evaluating activities associated with Performance Improvement for assigned Medical Staff and the Cardiovascular Departments. Employs techniques and tools associated with Continuous Performance Improvement to assist teams in achieving goals for improvement. Serves as consultant in collaboration with leadership in medical staff, patient care services, clinical services, finance, information systems, and managed care to identify sources for data collection, evaluation, and interpretation, to produce measurable outcomes of care. Requirements include: 1. Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). 2. A Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Management, other related field. Masters Degree Preferred. 3. A minimum of Five (5) years of experience in cardiovascular nursing practice, one of which at a leadership and/or teaching level. 4. Knowledge of existing clinical systems, cardiovascular systems, and database integration. 5. Knowledge of ICD-9 Coding, CPT Codes, and Cardiology DRG's. 6. Perform quality management and/or utilization/resource management activities . 7. Experience with Team Facilitation in a CQI environment preferred. 8. Experience with data analysis and interpretation. 9. Experience with PC Applications. (Word processing, Spreadsheet and Graphics).
