Senior Firmware Development Engineer (Storage)
Position Roles
Senior Firmware Development Engineer, will be part of collaborative team developing embedded firmware and software for our next generation storage ASICs.
The right candidate will have 7+ years of software development industry experience, with strong engineering & development skills, and have the ability to effectively communicate & work with remote teams.
Development experience in software/firmware for embedded systems, embedded I/O, & experience with an embedded RTOS is also required.
Requirements
· Demonstrated experience developing commercial quality code from concept through to production
· Expert-level knowledge of C programming.
· Firmware development experience or working knowledge within two or more of the following technology areas:
· NAND Flash Memory &flash management algorithms
· Solid State Disk. (SDD)
· SCSI protocol and/or SCSI Hard Disk Drive. (HDD)
· Serial Attached SCSI. (SAS)
· Error Correction Coding. (ECC)
· Must be comfortable in a lab environment engaging in bring up & debug activities on HW/FW systems.
· BSCS/EE
· 5+ years of software/firmware system development. (Real world experience)
· 3+ years experience with one or more storage protocols such as FC/iSCSI/SAS/SATA/SCSI and thorough knowledge of PCIe interface. (real world experience)
· 2+ years in a technical leadership position.
· Highly motivated leader with great ability to set and meet goals
HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Direct relevant experience delivering storage technologies
· Previous experience developing on MIPS 34K architecture,
· Experience with ThreadX RTOS. or other RTOS implementations
· Experience writing drivers for embedded microprocessor peripherals ex. UARTs, I2C, SPI and GPIO.
