Assistant Controller: Controllers Group

Position Information

Location: Hayward, CA
Compensation: $150,000

Brief Job Description:

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for the Company's revenue recognition and revenue reporting function, SEC reporting and leading compliance testing related to the Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements. This is a director level position in responsible for 3-5 direct reports and oversight of AR and Revenue group.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as technical expert for accounting issues and thorough knowledge of GAAP principles
• Completely own the SEC reporting process and coordinating tax advisors, external auditors and external legal counsel ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements.
• Manage external auditors ensuring timely and efficient audits.
• Perform other projects as required.

Requirements:

• CPA or equivalent with a combination of Big 4 and Public company experience highly desired.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience, management experience is required.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC standards, internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the development and use of pivot table and lookup features.
• Bio-tech industry experience highly desired.
