This position will be located in Norwood, Ohio and cover the following locations in addition to the Norwood location: Columbus and Bellefontaine OH, and Little Rock, AR.

Job Family Responsibilities:


• Manages, administers and implements all aspects of HR including employee relations, training and development, compensation, staffing and other related HR programs and functions for assigned client group within specific headquarters or field locations independently.
• Ensures adherence to appropriate local, state, and federal government regulations.
• Counsels and advises managers, supervisors and employees on all aspects of the performance management process, staffing needs, employee development, employee relations, policies and procedures or other sensitive HR concerns.
• Ensures appropriate and consistent application of SII operating policies and procedures as well as review, recommendation and implementation of improved SII policies and procedures.
• Leads salary administration, job re-evaluation, and other HR programs for assigned locations or employee population.
• Consults with managers and supervisors on development and implementation of appropriate employee development plans.
• Reviews and makes recommendations on remedial program for employees.
• Identifies needs and recommends solutions, methods and procedures for assigned client group(s).
• Facilitates or conducts employee and management development programs as needed, and coordinates training initiatives for assigned employee populations or field location.
• Conducts or participates on special investigations, studies, projects and other HR initiatives as needed to meet overall company and department strategic goals and initiatives.
• Administers, monitors, coordinates, maintains and ensures compliance with areas that may include affirmative action, anti-discrimination, health and safety programs as well as all federal, state, and provincial laws and regulations.
• Identifies areas of change in regulations, laws, practices and developments to stay abreast and ensure company compliance.
• Monitors HR metrics and provides analyses within field of responsibility.
• Provides leadership and coaching to assigned management teams on employee selection, career planning and development, performance management and other activities.
• Works with management teams to create an environment necessary for staff to be successful.


Education:

Bachelors degree in required business, management, organizational development, human resources or related subject required. Graduate degree and/or Human Resources certification preferred.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum eight years progressive generalist experience with ability to support a diverse client group in all aspects of the Human Resources function. Previous supervisory experience is required. Skills and expertise in organizational development, employee relations, problem solving and conflict resolution are vital.
• High level of interpersonal skills and business acumen required. Strong facilitation and presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels is essential.
• Thorough knowledge of local, provincial and federal employment regulatory compliance laws needed.
• 20% travel required.
