SENIOR APPLICATIONS ENGINEER- POWERLINE
Description:
Our company is currently seeking an Applications Engineer that will aid in the support of our expanding Powerline Communication product line that consists of the following product families: Digital baseband, analog front end, Ethernet MAC, & microcontroller.
The type of candidate we are looking for is a self motivator, and an Electrical Engineer with system level experience. He or she must be proficient in English and possess solid technical writing skills. Some of the responsibilities include: writing application notes, designing evaluation kits, IC bench characterization (apps verification), reference designs, & email/phone technical support. International & domestic travel is a possible requirement.
Reference design & evaluation kit responsibilities include the design of hardware, writing simple firmware and PC software with C knowledge, building prototypes, assembly of boards, overseeing production, & writing documentation. Orcad/other hardware tool experience is required (for schematics & PCB layout). Must have the ability to use a wide variety of lab equipment that will be used to characterize Evkits/IC/ref designs, & collect accurate date. He or she must be skilled in debugging.
Requirements:
MSEE degree with at least three years of related experience
BSEE with at least six years of related experience
Solid background in digital & analog electronics
Ability to write technically
Experience with C programming
Experience with Embedded systems/firmware
Experience with the design of hardware
Knowledgeable of power Line communication is a bonus
US Visa is a requirement
