Regional Sales Manager South America




esponsible for the Sales and Technical Service activities for a group of accounts, including field customer contacts, develop and conduct technical seminars, monitoring tests of new products, monitor and optimize performance of existing product in existing units. Prepare and present international bid proposals to gain new business and maintain existing sales volume. Communicates and coordinates field activities with R&D, Logistics, CSR and Manufacturing. Must be fluent in Spanish and English such that all activities can be performed in either language, and coordinated between the customers (Spanish) and (English). Requires 30-50% travel.

Responsible for developing and maintaining regional sales opportunities meeting company objectives in both volume and gross margin. Supervise regional agents and coordinate with other internal resources to assure that all logistical, financial/marketing, and legal requirements, for each territory are properly executed and completed to meet the customer requirements.
Diagnose and solve technical problems. Advises on both catalysts and additives’ use, properties, and required reformulations to meet specific customer objectives. Must become thoroughly familiar with the function of the various products and their use and applications.

Collects and analyzes detailed operating data. Evaluates and documents results. Develops technical marketing information for general use. Prepares yield estimates to support sales. Writes, in Spanish, technical sales letters and proposals directly to customers.
Determines need for new products or improvements in existing products. Evaluates industry trends and competitive products.


Requirements
Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the refining industry, preferably with Catalysts operations and or petroleum refining technical service. Experience in a technical sales position in Central and South America
Skills: Must have full command of Spanish, both verbally and written.
In addition to a technical background, , excellent communication skills, and the ability to deal face-to-face with customers.
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree (MS or MBA) preferred.
