Wireless Infrastructure Architect (Backhaul)
Key Responsibilities
· Develop differentiated wireless infrastructure product strategies in partnership and working with Marketing, Product Development & other members of the Technology Office
· Own the technical relationship interfacing with key engineers and architects from OEM and carrier customers.
· Develop detailed product requirements based on a deep understanding of near term and long term strategies and operational needs of OEMs and carriers.
· Develop architectures and product definitions that meet business goals as well as providing differentiation relative to competitive solutions
Architect Position Requirements:
· The right candidate will have a Strong track record as a wireless infrastructure architect with deep understanding of wireless infrastructure technologies & market trends
· Detailed knowledge of existing and emerging solutions for Wireless Backhaul, including T1/E1, microwave and Ethernet etc.
· Detailed knowledge of Base Station architectures & trends worldwide
· Detailed knowledge of relevant protocols and technologies such as IMA, HDLC/ML-PPP, TRAU and Layer 1/2 Pseudo-Wire interworking, Packet Processing, & Traffic Management
· Existing, strong wireless infrastructure industry contacts and connections with the ability to quickly establish technical credibility & relationships with OEMs & Carriers
· Integrated circuit design experience in recent process nodes (sub 90nm) with an understanding of current issues and design flows.
· Cross-functional skills encompassing technology, strategy, business cases, and technical and product marketing.
· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
