GENERAL SUMMARY:

Supports the company by planning and implementing direct marketing and new sales activities in order to maintain and develop new sales of KPR’s pet shipping service. Provides excellent follow-through and client care to insure the superiority and consistency of the service delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Identify sales prospects, make contact with and present to businesses, relocation/HR professionals and pet owners regarding our services via phone, email and face to face communication.

· Prepare action plans and schedules to identify targets and to project the number of contacts to be made per day, week, month

· Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity via email or phone calls

· Prepare presentations, estimates/quotes and contracts

· Develop and maintain extensive sales material

· Develop and deliver sales presentations

· Establish and maintain current/potential client relationships, including airport & travel personnel

· Work closely with Vet offices on securing medical records

· Coordinate with the Page facility on the boarding and transporting of the pets

· Manage services through quality checks and other forms of follow up

· Identify and resolve client concerns

· Prepare a variety of status reports to include current activity, closings, follow-ups and adherence to goals

· Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff

· Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close a sale

· Participate in marketing events such as trade shows, seminars and telemarketing events.

· Follow up on late payments

· Partner with airlines on providing KPR boarding services for pets that are delayed in transit.

· Track inventory of crates and the purchasing of custom crates as needed

· Ride along for delivery and pick up of pets

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to effectively present information to other members of top management, public groups and/or board of directors, as needed. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers, franchisees, and other managers.

Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer SkillsAbility to use a keyboard effectively. Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher) required. Must be able to use Internet and e-mail effectively.

ManagementThe ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Quality orientation and meticulous attention to detail. Must have excellent problem solving ability, time management skills and be able to work on multiple projects at once while maintaining a high level of detail. Some people management skills, experience and natural ability will be useful.

Mathematical AbilityAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, area and percentages. Ability to apply mathematical concepts including profit and loss calculations, basic business finance & forecasting, etc.

PlanningAn ability to think ahead and strategically plan over a 6-12 month time span. Must have analytical ability to compile and maintain industry reports and records (sales, costs, forecasting, etc.) Management responsibilities may require travel to and from Kennelwood Village facilities using personal and/or company vehicle.

CERT IF ICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must posses’ reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, proof of Insurance and clean driving record. Required to drive safely to and from appointments and the KVI facilities using personal vehicle and follow all laws. Compensation for mileage will be provided.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years in the airline/travel industry or related field preferred
