Position Information


Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Compensation: $70,000k

Brief Job Description:

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for cost accounting including maintenance of standard costing, cost accounting entries for month-end closing, inventory valuation and reconciliation, and product cost and margin analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial reports including monthly operating reports and quarterly and year-end corporate reporting packages.

• Analyzes changes in product design and routings including reconciliation of variances-labor, material, overhead and margins.

• Prepare cost and variance fluctuation analysis.

• Review and close monthly work orders.

• Review and analyze inventory absorption.

• Perform month-end closing, journal entries, accruals, allocation of labor and expenses

• Lead the year-end physical inventory process

• Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer service and materials control departments related to cost, inventory, BOM issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

• 4-6 years experience in Cost Accounting in Manufacturing or construction environments preferred.

• Excellent analytical and cost skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MAS 500
