The program is looking for qualified product. The system applies state-of-the-art antenna and processing technologies to solve some of the most challenging requirements in the defense industry.
As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. Overall, this means that a careful examination of an applicant's background will be made before the assignment of such work including financial records, foreign national contacts, motor vehicle driving records, any criminal convictions, etc. In addition, determining whether or not a candidate may have been denied employment or special consideration on a particular defense contractor's special program are all important elements in the assessment process after an offer is made. Not being able to secure the special accesses needed on some programs may result in the termination of employment if other suitable work is not assigned.
Contingency:

Job Description:
Individual will participate and provide leadership support of the supportability and logistics tasks to support programs in the SAS Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems business unit. The individual will work independently to conduct
the following tasks, as necessary, in order to achieve the desired system performance outcome:
-Provide leadership for Raytheon and Major Subcontractor supportability and logistics activities to include:
-Performing logistics analysis to ensure product meets customer requirements
-Maintaining the Logistics Management Information (LMI) Database
-Prioritizing, scheduling, planning, and coordination of logistics activities
-Support of customer provisioning conferences
-Development of Packaging, Handling, Transportation and Storage requirements
-Performance of trade studies to drive design improvements that support long term supportability
-Develop affordability goals and monitor for progress
-Prepare deliverables to the customer in accordance with the Contracts Data Requirements List.
-Participate in joint activities with users, customers, and team members to refine long term supportability concept
-Give customer briefings as required
Individual will assist functional and business management in making informed decisions; erroneous decisions or recommendations may result in a failure to meet the organizational objectives and damage the image of the organizations capabilities to the customer.
Basic Qualifications:
-A minimum of 4 years of supportability and logistics support
-Working knowledge and performance of Mil-Std-1388 tasks
-The individual must function independently to determine solutions to a wide range of supportability training and logistics issues under only general direction
-Individual must be proactive in addressing issues with the program design and production support teams
-Individual will work frequently with other disciplines as well as external customer representatives
-Individual must be able to assist functional and business management in making informed decisions
-Current DOD Top Secret Clearance updated within the last three years
Desired Skills:
* Individual must have good understanding of supportability and logistics products and activities within the military
* Must be able to communicate well with customers in their terms
* Must work well with all organizational levels and possess good technical writing & oral communication skills
Required Education (including Major):
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related field
