Job description:

We are looking for someone to develop new web based applications. You will work in a dynamic environment on highly visible products. You will be responsible for defining, designing, implementing, documenting, testing, and releasing products to users.

Responsibilities:

Web application development using php, html, dhtml, css, javascript, Akamai

Environmental pushes of packages and files using unix, package management system, ssh, scp

Evaluating requirements, documenting system, defensive coding, evaluating other teams contributed components

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

• Perl, XML/XSLT, JSON, REST, SOAP, AJAX , SQL, MySQL
• Unix Shell programming experience including bash, regex, sed, awk, grep, cron, etc.
• Experince writing C++ PHP Extensions and utilizing GNU tools
• Major Browser, ActiveX, Mozilla Plugin, Windows registry and software installation related experience
• Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and data management systems, relational and object-oriented
• Graphics and UI design skills
• Extensive knowledge of Perl.
• Strong software design, object-oriented programming and architecture experience with PHP.
• Experience with large data-driven applications and advanced SQL queries
• A familiarity with a wide variety of software applications

Ability to work with people, AJAX , Application Program Interface , CSS, HTML, Verbal and Written Skills

Additional Skills: +7 years experience in CSS, HTML, XML, TWiki; +Solid understanding and experience in content management; +Superb communication and leadership skills; +Strong organization skills and commitment to quality;

Desired Skills/Experience:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of industry-relevant experience developing highly scalable web applications
• Apache, PHP, DHTML, CSS, Javascript
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Technical expertise and current knowledge relative to web application development
• Proven history of reliable task duration estimates
• Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, reliability, and commitment
• Prior experience working on large-scale Internet application
• High standards related to operational issues

Strong relational database design experience - mysql a plus
