Define, design, deploy, and administer a new internal and business partner facing system



Brief Description
ShoreTel seeks an experienced and highly motivated Business Analyst with application administration experience to support the definition, design, deployment, and administration of new internal and business partner facing systems. Experience must include the project ownership of a top-tier ERP system implementation in the past three years. The focus of this position is to facilitate internal and external business processes and scalability. The individual will interface with all levels of management.
Description
Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will have ownership over the start-to-finish process of deploying new systems and technologies being considered by ShoreTel. The individual will need to "think big" and determine how new software applications and corresponding processes can be used to solve business challenges in a creative, scalable, and high impact way. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, according to specifications, and in a manner that drives high end-user adoption.

Key responsibilities include:
• Interface with executives and business owners to identify, develop and document business requirements
• Determine and recommend optimal solutions to address business requirements with consideration of company profitability objectives
• As required, source potential vendors and drive vendor selection
• Develop a detailed knowledge of existing systems and technologies within the company to understand how they should be appropriately leveraged to enhance business process and company scalability
• Review test plans and facilitate test execution to ensure that an application meets requirements
• Maintain project schedules and regularly communicate project status to key stakeholders
• Prepare end-user training materials and conduct end-user training
• Project management of business system/applications projects


Requirements

8+ years work experience with the following skills:
• Direct experience (project ownership role) leading the implementation of a top-tier ERP system (i.e., Oracle, SAP, etc.) implementation within the past three years
• Experience with ERP (or other) system integration projects utilizing web services (XML, XSL, etc.) technologies
• Passion for leveraging technology to make business more effective and scalable
• Exceptional attention to detail and an operational mindset
• Ability to take leadership in driving projects that involve multiple stakeholders and opinions
• Substantial prior IT business analyst and/or software engineering experience, either consulting with a major IT software services firm and/or working directly within a high-tech company in a similar capacity
• Strong understanding of how to utilize information systems and technologies to maximize productivity and establish maximum process efficiencies
• Working knowledge of data structures and database design
• Comprehensive experience with all facets of the system lifecycle (functional requirements definition, system design, development, testing, deployment, support)
• Solid project management skills with a successful track-record of delivering on time, on budget, and on spec
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic, rapidly growing environment
• Expertise with Web-based productivity applications hosted services

Education:

• 4-year degree (minimum) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
