Job Details:

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree from an approved college or university and be a graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent. Personnel who, prior to 2/28/92 have qualified at the Medical Technologist level by achieving a satisfactory grade on a HHS examination also meets the qualifications for Medical Technologist. Meets required CLIA regulations for Testing Personnel.

EXPERIENCE: None

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Certified (registered) or registry-eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency, e.g. ASCP, NCA, HHS, AMT, or equivalent. Registry eligible personnel must become certified within 1 year from date of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger/fine dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze and perform repetitive activity. Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting/carrying 20 pounds and be able to push/pull, climb, stoop/bend, kneel, walk, sit, crouch/squat, flex/position/twist, stand, hold, and reach.

SUMMARY: Under the directions of the Medical Directors and management staff, provides state of the art laboratory specimen testing, including phlebotomy, from neonates to geriatric patients ensuring patient safety.
