Telegent Systems, a leader in RF, mixed-signal, and digital signal processing technologies for mobile TV, is looking for exceptional candidates for the following position:
Field Applications Engineer: Korea
Provide hardware and software support for customers integrating Telegent products.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers during initial evaluation, design integration, and ongoing manufacturing phases.
- Troubleshooting RF analog and digital design issues at the component-level.
- Troubleshoot software implementation/integration issues.
- Establish close technical relationships with customer teams to ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues.
- Identify and analyze all reported customer issues, solve technical issues, and communicate issues with headquarter teams.
- Support customer validation and qualification of Telegent IC’s and final integrated customer designs.
- Work closely with the Telegent customer team, including Applications Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Quality.
- Escalate, as necessary, critical customer issues and provide timely warning of issues that need attention.
Job Requirements
- Excellent trouble-shooting skills and direct tier-1 customer handset support experience
- Hands-on laboratory experience including operation of: signal generators, multimeters, and equipment suitable for RF testing (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer).
- Experience with OrCad schematics and PADS tools, or equivalent ones.
- Experience with developing or supporting embedded software products.
- Experience with communication busses such as ITU-601, I2C, I2S and USB.
- Previous board-level electronic design experience; understanding of EMI, interference, spurs, etc.
- Excellent technical skills including communication systems, video standards, and RF, analog/mixed-signal, and digital design.
- Knowledge of IC design cycle & customer production cycle.
- Knowledge of tier-1 customer quality and reliability requirements and processes
- Experience with the following markets: handsets, personal media players, personal navigation, personal computers (desktop & laptop), and PC TV.
- Experience with the following technologies: DVB-T, PAL/NTSC/SECAM, GSM, FM
- Organized, self-starter, team player, excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Education and Work Experience
- BSEE with 7 years experience or MSEE with 3 year experience.
