Adjunct Upward Bound Faculty (Position No. 030908042)
Salary: $22.00 / Hour, Part-time

A part-time (Grant Ending 8/31/2012, Hours Vary) position in the UpWard Bound Program. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • The UpWard Bound program seeks an instructor to teach small groups of high school students in the area of 9th-12th grade Math, including Algebra 1 & 11, Geometry and Calculus.
  • Instruction is designed to be enrichment education for high school students from first generation and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Activities/classes are held at the Cedar Valley campus approximately two Saturdays per month from September-May.
  • Candidates should have experience in secondary through post secondary students.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in subject area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with students of varying abilities.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, including staff and students.
  • Official transcripts will be required.
  • A criminal background check will be conducted.
