Principal SAP Solutions Consultant (global)

GENERAL SUMMARY

Reporting within the SAP Global Solutions Practice, the SAP Solutions Consultant (SSC) is the programs/sales lead responsible for driving the development of field-oriented programs and support for sales and delivery of specific SAP solutions. The SSC is responsible for helping field and account teams achieve the Solutions component of the bookings, revenue and margin objectives set for their geo. The solutions are expected to be complex and highly technical in nature, often requiring third party partners. The SSC is responsible for working in collaboration with other practice areas to scope and deliver high value projects that cross practice areas. The SSC in support of divisional resources will provide delivery oversight of these complex projects, and should help to establish and maintain a partner based delivery network in collaboration with TS Delivery within his/her Solutions Area. The SSC will be goaled on SAP business development (revenue) as well as on cross-functional coordination, training, knowledge transfer, and customer satisfaction.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide SAP-EMC subject matter expertise in support of business development, pre-sales and delivery initiatives in the assigned programs area or sales division.

· Develop strong relationships with field and account teams in order to build and continuously maintain the strategic SAP opportunity pipeline, backlog and forecast.

· Support sales account planning and customer engagements

· Support CSDs and pre-sales with architecture, product & service positioning, and proposal development

· Leverage existing sales processes, clients and relationships to drive the penetration of SAP solutions broader and deeper into the account base.

· Coordinate account planning, customer engagement and delivery support strategies with EMCC Application Practice, SAP Solutions Practice, and other service partners as needed.

· Coordinate sales and technical training and knowledge transfer

· Provide subject matter expertise at SAP solutions-focused events (both internal and external)

SKILLS:

· Deep understanding of SAP applications, SAP NetWeaver, BASIS administration, and SAP infrastructure (database, operations) support

· Possesses knowledge of products, tools, services, messages and content associated with SAP solutions they are asked to support

· Understanding of EMC's products and their value added to the customer

· Solutions selling experience in a product or service led organization

· Ability to interact effectively with customers

· Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational, analytical and project management skills

· Ability to work effectively with senior management

· Ability to manage in a matrix environment

· Ability to influence behavior in people outside their organization

· Experience in developing and implementing custom solutions, and crafting consultative content (analysis, programs, whitepapers, final reports, presentations)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelors Degree (Technical)

· 8-12 Years SAP infrastructure experience

Travel will be required
