This is our mission: How we live and work our mission.
Enrich and Enhance the Lives of Pets
Kennelwood employees work hard each day to fulfill this part of our mission statement. With the commitment, trust and loving care Kennelwood staff executes the highest level of service and special attention to each guests that visits one of our Kennelwood locations. In addition, Kennelwood has most recently proven to live this statement through our re-branding efforts. We not only would like to provide the best care and service possible but we would like to create an even more special experience…why? Because pets deserve vacations too. Moreover, Kennelwood enriches and enhances the lives of pets through our Pet Matchmaker program, which assists and educates individuals seeking a new pet or aiding someone who is looking to re-home a pet. We provide a service that helps a pet seeker discover or find the best suited breed or pet for their lifestyle. We then work with various rescue groups to find the best suited pet, the perfect match. As you can see we work to achieve this statement in many facets of our company including in the ongoing research that occurs everyday which allows Kennelwood to stay on top of the best products, services, and care for your pet.
Educate and Share our Pet Knowledge
How do we educate and share our pet knowledge? Kennelwood participates in various events and conventions where we promote and educate pet owners and potential pet owners of our services, our products and possible solutions to their pet problems. Most recently Kennelwood participated in the Home & Garden Show in St. Louis , MO and the ABKA convention in Louisville , KY. In addition, Kennelwood has made the decision to begin offering free Baby STEPS/First STEPS (Start To Educate Pet Safety) seminars to early childhood centers and preschools for their parents. We see an importance and value in the program and want to educate young families on ways to avoid dog bites and fatalities. If you are part of a parents as teachers group and are interested in getting Kennelwood on your lecture series please call Sarah Drew at 314-446-1021. Furthermore, Kennelwood would like to share our pet knowledge with you on facebook and myspace. Please request Woody, Kennelwood’s mascot to be your friend and we will be available for first hand pet related questions and concerns.
Encourage and Promote Community Improvement
Kennelwood supports and collaborates with various organizations in a few different ways in order to encourage and promote community improvement. We promote walks/events, solicit and raise money for a specific cause or event in our locations, and work to create awareness of the event or cause that we are supporting.. In the last year some of the organizations that we have worked with are Siteman Cancer Center, American Youth Foundation, MS Society, Mind’s Eye Organization and we look forward to continuing the relationships we have made in 2007 and are excited to work with the Arthritis Foundation, City Academy and others that we will be collaborating with in 2008. In addition, to the organizations, we work with rescue groups. We provide our Mason Lane location to Dirks Fund on Saturday for adoptions, we made a donation to Humane Society on behalf of our top dog and best in show clients, and we support and work with Stray Rescue through providing auction items and participation in their events.
