Once founded as a traditional Sea Freight Forwarding company in 1958 in Stuttgart EgeTrans GmbH has successfully managed to transform itself into a leading high-tech enterprise. In addition to entrepreneurial spririt consistent customer relationship management governed by reliability have played an important role in the positive development of the company.
After the company had moved from Stuttgart to Marbach in 1992 Peter and Bettina Steinmüller took over EgeTrans in 1993.
In addition to the Sea Freight Department an Air Freight Department was founded in 1997. In the same year EgeTrans became IATA agent. Another important step in the development of the company was the foundation of a branch office in Bensenville, IL in the USA in 2001. In 2002 EgeTrans USA gained two important licenses, the Customs Broker Licence and the NVOCC Licence. EgeTrans is C-TPAT certified since 2003 which shows the company’s sensibility towards international security relevant issues.
Due to its 40 year’s experience EgeTrans could establish good, and above all, long-standing business relationships to major shipping companies, airlines and their agents on both sides of the Atlantic. Our main focus lies in providing logistics solutions for the automotive industry in Europe and the USA.
