Rady Children's Hospital is San Diego region's only designated pediatric trauma center and the only area hospital dedicated solely to pediatric care.

This year, Parent Magazine honored Rady Children't as one of the top 25 children's hospitals in the nation.  In addition, U.S. New & World Report announced the results of its 2009 comprehensive survey to identify the top children's hospitals in the country and ten pediatric specialties.  Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego achieved rankings in the six of the ten specialties.  With more than 200 children's hospitals in the United State, the top rankings place Rady Children's among the nation's elite.

Rady Children's has embarked upon the most amazing and ambitious new projects in our 55-year history. These projects include building a Patient Care Pavilion and bringing selected clinical specialty programs to national and international prominence.

In addition to caring for children at our main campus in Kearny Mesa, Rady Children's has 15 neighborhood centers offering primary care and specialized services. Children's is also active in numerous community outreach programs, including health education, early intervention and counseling, child abuse prevention and child safety issues.
