DAC opened the first location in Southaven in 1999. Then known as DeSoto Athletic Club, they soon expanded to Olive Branch. Growing rapidly, they landed the contract to manage the municipal Collierville Community Center in 2004.
The contract to manage the Collierville location meant that the name DeSoto Athletic Club no longer described all of their locations, prompting a brand review and resulting in a refined brand identity. DAC redefined their brand with a more descriptive visual that conveyed the action of fitness and the dependability of DAC. Using a lively green color scheme and an empowering tagline ¿define yourself¿DAC captured the spirit of healthy living that each location embodies. The DAC Management division also adopted the new logo with the tagline ¿developing active communities¿ to illustrate the role that DAC plays in the overall fitness and health of all three communities.
Today, DAC operates all three locations with a variety of classes and programs as well as partnering with charities and community leaders to ensure a more healthy community atmosphere. More than just fitness clubs, DAC locations function as active members of their respective communities and strive to help members develop healthy lifestyle habits for happier and healthier lives.
