A Rich Heritage In 1934, 13 individuals pooled $65 to create an alternative to the banks. Now, with over 42 branches and more than $3 billion in assets, Wescom Credit Union has become the essential banking alternative for more than 300,000 members. Wescom is now among the largest credit unions in the country. As a non-profit financial cooperative, our members are our owners - which means that excess earnings benefit our members, not a small group of shareholders. As an employee you also become a member of this community with a real stake in our future.
Growth Means Opportunity We owe our phenomenal growth to our wholehearted dedication to member service and our exceptional working environment for employees. We believe there is a direct correlation between employee satisfaction and member satisfaction. At Wescom, we don't just serve our members; we are part of the same community.
The philosophy that governs how we serve our members also governs how our employees enjoy and grow within our working culture. Thus Wescom offers real opportunity for advancement and the benefits you'd expect from an industry leader, including excellent health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, vacation and sick time. Most of our benefits are available to part-time employees. And, a benefit you can't get just anywhere ... special reduced rates on loans, checking accounts, and more!
Wescom also gives back. The Wescom Credit Union WeCare Foundation was founded as a charitable, not-for-profit organization formed by employees to help people in need through charitable giving and volunteerism. Through WeCare, Wescom contributes over $100,000 to nearly 20 worthy causes annually. WeCare focuses on identifying and sponsoring volunteer opportunities for employees, as well as providing a vehicle for tax-deductible charitable contributions through payroll deductions, which are in turn matched dollar for dollar by Wescom Credit Union. For these reasons and more, Wescom has been recognized as one of Top 25 Best Medium sized companies to work for in America! |
