Is it legal for an insurance company through your employer, to deny certain benefits based on pre existing?

Pre existing conditions?
I know this can be used as an excuse not to cover, when you are going through personal insurance companies, but I heard this is not true when getting insurance through your employer.

Actually it is. It depends on how they set their policy up. When they first signed up, they were allowed to request a waiting time before preexisting conditions do not apply. Generally, the time period will elapse. I set up the insurance for my business.

Absolutely. Your insurance policy documents should tell you whether it covers pre-existing conditions. If it prohibits the coverage of pre-existing conditions then you are stuck.
