How much does a teller make at a credit union in Michigan?

I'm considering working at a credit union in Michigan. I've seen on other message boards that credit union tellers get paid more than bank tellers (I don't know how true that is). I want to find out so I can put on the application an hourly rate that is fair (I don't want to miss out on cash I should be getting, yet I don't want to ask for an amount that is too much).
