A Question for home health aides (cna) ?
Asked by Lindsay Lu
Well, I just passed my class so I am now a certified nursing assistant. I'm still in high school, but I would like to get a part time job as a cna, but I do not want to work in a nursing home. Do you recommend being a home health aide for a high schooler? What are your likes and dislikes about the job?

A:
I also completed the CNA/HHA course before high school and I honestly do not recommend for you to work as a HHA, at least not until you have more experience.Patients are very unpredictable and some are even violent at times. Many older patients suffer mental disabilities that will actually enable them to hurt you or feel that you want to hurt them. I know many patients also need to be transferred to bed, bath, etc and you will have to do this alone. For now I think you should stick to being in a nursing home. Good Luck and Congratulations :-)

theres no problem to be Hha but you still have job reponsibilities with Hha only difference if you visiting patient and giving patient care on comfort of there home, if you dont like nursing home you could try applying on hospital, once there try to take exam for nurse tech, job responsibilities is a lot lighter than cna.
