How much on average does a first time bank teller get paid in the midwest?

oh here in midwest Ohio it is around $9.00 an hour to start.

Although entry level wages are not figured, the average teller in the Midwest makes about $11,50 an hour ($24,000 yearly) so figure the entry level wage is lower than this. Payscale.com suggests that, U.S. wide, the average first year teller makes about $9.88 an hour, which seems in line with the above overall estimate for the midwest from BLS.

I doubt that you will find that all banks pay starting tellers the same money. Starting salaries can be different depending on previous work experience and education. If you really need an answer I suggest you call a few banks in the area and ask them directly. It is always best to get answers direct from the source. Either speak with a branch manager or the personnel department at the different banks.
