How much does the average bank teller make an hour?

Just curious. I work in the banking world but not at a bank and I kinda wanted to know if I wanted to go in that direction.

It depends on what region you reside in, how large the institution is, how the local economy is. In Maryland, the bank I work for offers $11/hr minimum. Obviously you can get a higher amount if you've had cash handling experience, banking experience, etc. Two years previous banking experience is about $14-15.
