once you climb the executive ladder at work, how do you seperate yourself from your acquaintances?

I've recently become part of the executive order at work and it has been extremely difficult to separate myself from known friends and acquaintances, I struggle with this on an every day basis, there's really no easy answer is there?

It's a slow process of gradually moving onward and having less contact with them. You can't just cut them off or they will despise you and in some instances plot to undermine you. Instead you will spend more and more time in the higher ranks with less and less time available for them. This may take months or years depending on the size of the organization. Don't forget that some of them may join you or PASS you in the organization and become YOUR boss. Act accordingly.
