If you are a licensed LVN and you move, is your license still valid?

if i am a licensed LVN in california and i move to oregon, is my license still valid? if not, then what could i do about that?

You need to contact Oregon State Board of Nursing and apply for a licence in their state.

You can only practice nursing in the state that you are licensed in. Pretty much at this time, every State that you move to, you have to apply for a separate license - really no big deal though. (some states are trying to change this, but so far you need to get a license for each and every state you move to). Go to the Oregon State website -- www.oregon.gov Then go to the State board of Nursing site on it - or you can just google Oregon State Board of Nursing. On there it will bring up the complete information of how to get your Oregon license. May take several weeks so make sure you apply for it early, as most places wont let you start working until you bring in that license.
