Call up potential employers and ask questions like 1) what are your short term hiring needs? 2) what professions are you likely to hire? 3) have you hired telecommunications employees recently? (don't say you want a job - act like you are trying to get "market survey") only ask 3 or 4 questions and thank-them. If they say they are looking for telecom people, then you know what to do next.

It takes time to get a good job that you will be satisfied with, until then, look into jobs closely related to your degree and work your way up. You can always intern if you don't have the greatest experience to obtain a decent job in your field.
