I am taking Spanish, will it really help my career in the long run?

I am becoming a Forensic Nurse Investigator, and I just wanted to know if Spanish would really further my career?

Yes. If you were on a scene one day you might have to translate a little bit or something. I'm only 16 and all the time I have to translate and I'm not out in public very often. As more Spanish speaking people come to this country it gets more important to know their language.

yes now days a lot of careers need people who can speak a secong language also a lot of your clients might not speak english but spanish so yes it will help you

It is always a good idea to take a secondary language as that will give you an advantage over someone who has not taken one (meaning an employer would likely hire you over that person because of this)

I guess it might help in the US. but what bothers me, and what the blind-to-the-(existence of)rest-of-the-world should take a note of is that how blithely people can work (post in Y!A) under the gleeful assumtion that there is a silen "US" following the Y!Answers site they are using.
