How do I upgrade NYS CNA license to NYS LPN license?
Asked by krnboyd21a
I need to further my career due to a sudden increase in cna's in NYC, and the increasing need for lpn's and rn's. I have limited funds so any info regarding nursing schools & funding is needed also!

Technical Colleges offer LPN courses. They are usually inexpensive when compared to state colleges. You will be done in about 13 months. Good Luck! PS check out a PELL grant for your education....it pay for almost everything and you don't have to pay it back.

Check with your local community college. CC's are usually a little cheaper than tech colleges. CC LVN programs are also only 13 months, though you will need to some some pre-req's. talk with their finacial aid office for possible grants or loans.

See if they offer bridge courses. I know there is a bridge course from LPN to RN here in Florida.
