Once again.....Has anyone worked for SunTrust Bank....or ANY bank?
Asked by ZSMami
I am in the final interviewing stages for a Financial Services Representative job with SunTrust. I wanted to know if anyone has had this position (or a similar position in another bank-personal banker, loan officer, etc) and if they could tell me anything about it. (Dress code, stress level, sales goals) I know what the job is, I just want to hear from someone who's had it what the "real deal" is....thanks for your help!

Log into LinkedIn and search for current and past SunTrust employees. Tell them that you are interested in working at the firm. Ask them what it was/is like to work there? Ask them about sales goals, dress code, etc. Get a feel for the culture from the "insiders".
Best of luck!

I used to work for Citi Bank as an Internet Financial Services Rep and I would troubleshoot with customers about their online accounts. I would also open savings, money market, CD's and checking accounts. If you can keep your cool and don't take offense when you're being scolded by a client, then it is fairly low-stress. Our goal as a team was to open at least 7 accounts each daily. However, I always tried to set my personal goal higher and try to open 10 or more a day. (We worked on comission!!!) Our dress code was a pair of slacks or a skirt, a button up shirt, and a jacket. Good luck with your new job!
