How old do you have to be to get a job in a bank in England? And what qualfications are essential?

for example the people that are mainly behind the counter.... (I dont know the job title) if you get what i mean.... Can a BTEC national certificate/diploma and a certificate in financial studies help me with getting a job in a bank?

you have to be 18 to work in a bank as they check you credit history and they do a criminal check on you. i got a job at barclays when i was 18, at the time they were asking for 3 gcse's grade c or above including maths.(obvious really), if you manage to get an interview the way you come across is more likley to get you a job than a certificate.
