Do you have to be certified or registered medical assistant in georgia?

I am moving form NY to georgia and I just completed my medical assisting courses but I haven't taken the exam yet. Do i need to be registered or certified in georgia to work as a Medical assistant?

Well congratulations on completing your medical assistant course! I've heard that there may not be too many jobs available, but perhaps you can also look for related jobs such as medical receptionist, medical records (now referred to as 'health information') clerk, billing clerk or such.
