Hey.. Well,I'm a junior in High school. And around this time everyone has an idea of what they would like to do after high school.I'm still stuck thinking.I know I want to do photography but I would like to do something else besides that.I want to pursue in a career in the Arts/Entertainment field.I don't believe I have a problem related towards location since I live in Miami, and the arts/entertainment scene here is quiet known.Which careers in the arts field do you believe are worth it or will actually get me somewhere and I can be successful? I'm interested in this: Photography Film Design Writing Animation etc.. What can I do to be successful and have a good salary,I'm no good at math not drawing and working on my social skills. Please suggest? What other Arts/entertainment careers out there,I must fit somewhere. or what about advertisement?

You need to have passion for whatever you decide to do. Don't hurry the process, you are still young and haven't been introduced to all of the possibilities in life. Keep looking. One of these days you know when you find it because you will feel it in your belly and you'll know that is what you want to do. Until then keep taking a broad range of courses, and stay interested in lots of things. Keep studying hard and getting good grades and believe me it will come to you soon. Good luck.

There are many areas you could be employed in the Arts/Entertainment Industry, but the problem is that A) the demand in the industry is higher than the available jobs B) knowing that person who knows someone who can get you "that" job or C) achieving the level of experience and training necessary for the position. I belive you are at a good time in your life to explore a career in the Entertainment industry. The sooner you get some hands on experience, the better. If there are any local non-profit Theatre or Film companies, that is an EXCELLENT way to get some hands on experience on all the technical aspects of production. This looks great on a resume and also gives you experience and guidance in which area you might like to focus.
