They ask the dumbest questions. I should know, I interview people for teller jobs and the list of questions we have... The answers don't matter as much as the delivery. Answer quickly in a confident voice, making eye contact.
Tell me about your best qualities.
What would you consider your biggest weakness? (Tip on this one: never say you don't have any. Say something like "I tend to be a perfectionist." or "I can't sit still, I have to be doing something all the time."
What do you like to do in your spare time? We ask this question because we can't ask if you are married or have children, but we want to know if you have responsibilities that could interfere with your job. Keep your answers to solo activities like gardening, reading, hiking, or anything true that you like to do alone.
Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult situation. How did you handle it. This is so broad. Practice an answer.
Tell me a little about yourself. Another one of those questions where I'm trying to find out if you have kids, another job, go to school, or do anything that will keep you from working every day.
How do you deal with stress?
Do you have a problem with being coached on your behavior? Could you coach others about their behavior?
Why do you want to work for the bank?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? (Basically, are you working here until you finish your degree and get a job in your field? Here's a really good answer to this one. "I'm not looking for a job, I am looking for a career. In five years I hope to be running this place!"
And of course the usual questions about experience. Good luck. Teller is a pretty good job. Good hours, decent pay, not to labor-intensive.

Great interviewers usually ask you about your knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's). Think of ways to show each of those point. Also, it be useful if you use O*net. Go search up O*Net on google...it tells you what a certain position requires, you can use that as an advantage by showing your employer what you have and how it relates to the job. O*Net is constructed by consultants, exactly what companies hires to evaluate their human resources.

1 . do you have any money handling experience? 2.have you ever been convicted of a felony? 3.level of education 4.would you be willing to take a lie detector test?5.how do you cope with stressful situations? 6.would you agree to a criminal background check?7.basic math skills?8.ever been fired from a job and if so why?agree to a credit check (at least they do in ohio)9.agree to follow strict client confidentiality and sign a confidentiality agreement? it's a pretty tough interview, but just try to be as relaxed and poised as possible and look the interviewer in the eyes. also a good tip, don't figit and squirm around, that can be taken as dishonesty or a lack of interest. try to dress nicely, but not night clubby. good luck friend i hope you get the job!!
