Is it possible to be both a student and an insurance agent?
Asked by ms.jackson...
Right now I'm taking a break from school, trying to figure out what i want to do, but I do know the importance having a degree will have in the long run, so I want to continue that. While on my break from school, I have considered every option including the military, which I realized would not allow me to do what I love to do, and really would only allow me to do what they would love for me to do! Now I love sales and I love working with people, so I thought insurance would be a great way, and I think I have found a pretty decent company, with a great lead program, If i took morning classes, do you think it would be possible to do both?

That depends on what kind of insurance, and who your target market is. It will be tougher if you're depending on people coming into a storefront or you will be required during business hours, less difficult if you're able to meet with prospects during off-hours. But insurance sales is a REALLY tough racket and really is tough to do part time. It can be very lucrative, but I think you'll find that if you are successful in it, the business needs to be a lifestyle choice, not a part time job.
Spent 11 years in the insurance industry, including 7 years in sales/marketing (group products).

yeah of course you can do it! But generally, people don`t want to continue their school again after they got money. I hope you aren`t one of them. School is important because you can gain many knowledge in it. Good Luck
