If you're talking about being on the board of directors....start buying lots and lots of stock. They are elected based on votes from shareholders, and are rarely appointed without owning a large chunk of the company, or the support of an investment firm that owns a large chunk. If you're talking about being a director as in a senior manager in the company, work in the hospitality/entertainment industry. Even better work an internship for Disney. They offer them to undergraduate students at Disneyland and Disneyworld. This will give you a step in the door and one that can turn into a full time job with Disney. A few more years and promotions and you will be a director.

An MBA would be a good start. Economics and business classes are important .
