Is it good to go to a vocational school for physical therapy technician?

im about to attent this vocational school for physical therapy technician, but i dont know if its a good position. nor if im doing the right thing in going to this school. any info, id really appreciate it.

It certainly wouldn't hurt...but personally, I think it's kind of a waste of time as it is typically an on-the-job trained position...that's why they typically only make a few more dollars than minimum wage per hour.
As a physical therapy technician, you might provide hands on assistance to physical therapist and physical therapy assistants such as helping a patient stand, you will clean equipment, learn how to prepare hot packs, change linens on the tables, you may also help with scheduling of patients...potentially you might even help a patient with their exercise...it will also depend on what state you live in and what setting you work in. For instance, I work in a setting that sees a significant portion of patients who are on Medicare. In the outpatient setting, a "Medicare" patient cannot be billed for a service provided by a tech...even if it's under the direct supervision of a PT...so our techs are pretty limited to cleaning and assisting...these are all things that can easily be learned on the job.
If you were going to take the time to go to vocational school for 6-8 months, I'd say it would be worth it to go an extra year or two and become a PTA which is an associates degree...you'd double your salary.
