Go to www.salary.com and type in some information, you'll get a grid on what the highest a secretary is currently making in your immediate area.

I am not sure of the highest paid type of secretary that there is or what the yearly salary is, but I do know that legal secretaries can get a pretty decent pay. They can even get a higher salary than the paralegals! I would also think that an executive secretary such as for a CEO (chief executive officer) would get a higher paid salary than say a 'general' secretary at a small office somewhere. The Occupational Outlook Handbook should have salary averages for the different types of secretaries which can also include medical secretaries. Wish that I could help more. Good luck!
