I need information on purchasing and shipping a container to the Philippines?

I heard that some people have shipped houshold goods by container, where do you purchase a container? How do you ship it, estimated cost? How can you sell it in the Philippines. I am moving to Cebu

There are a number of companies called Freight Forwarders that do this for a fee the fee is based on weight and there are a number of conditions on what can and what cannot be sent by container. it usssually cost about 2-3 thousand dollars if you are shipping household items weighing approx 2500 lbs from the east coast. Try Bax Global and shop around if you call a Canadian company called Gillespie Monroe they can give you a good deal as they have agents in the US

You don't "purchase" the container, you simply lease the space. Check with a household moving company and they make all of the arrangements.
