What is a good career for working moms to go part time?
Asked by Laura G
I have my bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting and are a Treasury Manager and are very well paid. I have two little kids and want to go part time but not lose a lot of money in the process. However, in my field it is really hard to get part time jobs. They want you there till the end of the day. What would be a good field for me? I thought about Nursing but hate the sight of blood and guts. A teacher's salary would not be enough. Starting pay is only in the 30's. What could I do?

A good option would to become a consultant / advisor for some small to mid-size companies. Typically they don't have the work load to keep an accountant on staff full-time, but love to have one part-time / on call. At way you can be as busy as you like, because you take on more clients if the money isn't right.
Good luck!

heres an idea...keep your job. i mean your kids are eventually going to go to school the whole day while you are at work. For now, maybe hire a nanny or take them to a day care center until you are done working. A career to maybe pursue is relastate.

For part time with flexible hours, you have multiple choices. You didn't mention that you have a skill such as art or craft that you could sell, you could consider real estate, 80% of realters are part time. You could also consider a home based business. A home based business would leave you flexibility and the type of income you'd like to see. If you would be interested in pursuing a homed based, I can show you a company that in just 1 year grew to over 100,000 people and into 126 countries. The basis is a product that saves money and helps give us cleaner air. If you have 15 minutes of your valueable time to look at a business presentation on line, send me and email and I will send you the link. Best wishes in your pursuit.
