How do I become a mortgage broker?

I'm seriously considering becoming a mortgage broker. What are some ways I can pursue this career.

you want to become a loan officer? a mortgage broker is an office. most offices will train people to become one. it helps if you have a back ground in sales and are a good people person. i have worked at a mortgage company for three years and we have had a lot of loan officers come and go. you either have what it takes or you dont basically. you can just look for jobs in the paper or online and then call and see if they are training people. its a very big business with lots of opportunities. if you live in MD, VA, PA, FL or GA we have offices there and we are always willing to train new guys.

Go to an established brokerage and talk to them. Most will train you.
