What is an average part time take home paycheck for a grocery store cashier?
Asked by bluefrog
Can anyone tell me what a cashier takes home per week? If you work about 25 hours per week in PA, claim Single on Fed Taxes, and what is the hourly starting hourly wage on average? The grocery store is just an example. I have no idea what a part time, close to minimum wage worker makes these days.

In Philadelphia PA, the average take home per hour for a cashier is $9.85, with a low of $8.93 and a high of $11.10. Assuming 25 hours per week, that works out to a gross weekly income of: Low 223.18 Average 246.25 High 277.38

About $118, guessing that you will get $6.50 an hour for the 25 hours...
