Asked by Jaleßi
Got an interview in 2 days. I am sure I wont get the job, and I am not too comfortable taking a day off my current job. Now how do i call the recruiter and tell her I dont want to come, without pissing her off.

No need to lose any sleep over this. Just call and be honest, and say somthing like this. "You've re-evaluated your position and after careful consideration don't believe the role is right for you. That being the case it wouldn't be in yours or the employers best interests to attend. You will however be pleased to discuss future roles which might be more suitable". Job done....Good luck!!

call them and tell them you wont be coming in, or just don't show up but its more polite to tell them you wont be coming in. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do, dont want to go then dont do it. They cant make you, and dont worry if you piss them off. SO what? would you want to work for them if that's all it took to piss them off?

it's not your problem if she gets pissed off. always do what's best for you. life is much simpiler that way.

Trust me, as a hiring official, it won't piss them off. It'd upset them more if you just didn't show up, this way they can fill in a slot in their schedule and proceed. Never be afraid to tell someone if you don't want to do something.

It won't bother them in the least if you simply call her and tell her that you are no longer interested in the job. They deal with this stuff on a daily basis so it doesn't bother them at all. However, it's rude to just not show up. Save her the time of following up to see if you're still interested and she will respect you more.
